Hope Presbyterian Women (HPW)
Hope Presbyterian Women's Purpose
HPW's purpose is to:
* Nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study
* Support the mission of the church worldwide
* Work for justice and peace
* Build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witness to the promise of God's kingdom
All women who are members of the church are also members of HPW. We also welcome non-member women who indicate their willingness to participate in the HPW program.
Circles are smaller groups of women who meet to fellowship and Bible study. Circle Two meets the first Thursday of each month April through December at 7:30 p.m. at members' homes. For more information, contact Sharon Jones.
During the summer months, women gather to make crafts for the annual bazaar.
All members/families of the church are included in the church's service groups. We also welcome non-members who wish to participate. Service groups serve coffee on Sundays, lunches for funerals, Lenten soup and bread suppers, and other special events, such as the church's annual turkey supper, spring rummage sale, fall bazaar, and HPW Christmas party.
